Sailing in Miami.. more than a dream.
by Sailor
Imagine the Miami coast, the boat, the sea under you… freedom is now all around you. You are on a sailing boat in Miami.
This beautifull image was very well descriped by Gavin Sutherland in his song “Sailing”.
Sailing
Gavin Sutherland
I am sailing, I am sailing,
home again ‘cross the sea.
I am sailing, stormy waters,
to be near you, to be free.
I am flying, I am flying,
like a bird ‘cross the sky.
I am flying, passing high clouds,
to be with you, to be free.
That’s right Gavin. Sailing is like flying. Driving your sailing boat , you cross the sea , and the heavens. Your job, your problems, your stress.. all this kind of things are very far over your sailing boat.
The song “Sailing” continues:
Can you hear me, can you hear me
thro’ the dark night, far away,
I am dying, forever trying,
to be with you, who can say.
Can you hear me, can you hear me,
thro’ the dark night far away.
I am dying, forever trying,
to be with you, who can say.
And at the end , the song tells something that anyone who drive a sailing boat in Miami knows: you feel very near from God wen sailing and looking all this marvelous nature:
We are sailing, we are sailing,
home again ‘cross the sea.
We are sailing stormy waters,
to be near you, to be free.
Oh Lord, to be near you, to be free.
Oh Lord, to be near you, to be free,
Oh Lord.
So, sailing perhaps is like a dream. But with 1Saling you can make this dream real.
